Physicists, engineers, science promoters, entrepreneurs and authors all will be presenters during this summer’s second Project Fibonacci STEAM Conference.

The speakers series and featured guests include:

• July 31: Christine McKinley, musician, engineer and co-host of History Channel’s “Brad Meltzer’s Decoded.”

A few openings remain available for students interested in attending the STEAM Conference.

All of the speaker events will be open to the public with tickets available at www.EventBrite.com. There are specially priced ticket packages.

She encourages young people, especially women, to get more involved with science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses and careers. McKinley is also a TV personality and has hosted “Under New York” on Discovery Channel along with “Decoded” on the History Channel.

• Michio Kaku, physicist and science promoter, is an internationally recognized authority in two areas. The first is Einstein’s unified field theory, which Kaku is attempting to complete. The other is to predict trends affecting business, commerce and finance based on the latest research in science.

Kaku holds the Henry Semat Chair in Theoretical Physics at the City University of New York. He graduated from Harvard University in 1968 (first in his physics class). He received his doctorate in physics from the University of California at Berkeley, and has been a professor at CUNY for almost 30 years. He has taught at Harvard and Princeton as well.
